Development of a digital customer portal for german development banks

The client: CREALOGIX is a publicly-listed, global leader in digital banking technology and a Swiss Fintech 100 company.

The goal: A unified customer portal solution for German development banks had to be implemented to enable fully end-2-end digital processing of funding projects throughout the entire lifecycle. The portal had to be modular and configurable to be able to be adapted to specific requirements of the institutions and changing EU regulations. The software modules had to be developed in line with the guidelines and rules of the structural and investment funds EFRE and ESF, provided on time and hosted in line with banking requirements.

Our approach: We took over the program management as well as the lead of two sub-projects and controlled up to 8 Scrum teams via a hybrid project management. Our BoB – Best-of-Both® approach combines agile and classic project management methods. This enabled the agile potential of the CREALOGIX development units while at the same time ensuring reliability of the release dates.
In addition, we supported CREALOGIX’s cloud data centre operations in the set-up and operational roll-out of hosted customer environments, as well as the creation of business continuity plans and the implementation of cybersecurity requirements.

Result: The customer portal for development banks has been developed in multiple releases and successfully been launched. The cloud-based funding platform is hosted and operated by CREALOGIX for most of its customers. This digital transformation project has been implemented in time thanks to clear communication and professional orchestration of all involved parties.

Relocation of investment banking in new york

The client:A large German private bank

The goal:Our client’s investment business in New York was to be relocated to a larger and expandable office complex due to growth. For this purpose, the IT had to be almost completely renewed and also relocated. In doing so, the IT infrastructure was to be implemented on schedule in accordance with a global concept yet to be designed.

Our approach:Together with the customer team, we planned and designed the new IT and implemented the setup of the new infrastructure in the new building in parallel with the architectural conversion measures. The preparatory measures and the final move were managed and carried out on site with additional service providers. Project management was carried out in tandem with the customer.

Result: On time at 5:30 a.m. on the Monday after the move, employees at the critical trading workstations could start work in the new office building. The rest of the bank’s staff workstations are now virtualized, and the new network and phone systems deliver significantly more power and performance. The conference rooms meet the latest IT standards and all of the bank’s systems are working flawlessly.

Cybersecurity project

The customer: A large German financial institution from the public sector.

The goal: Comprehensive expansion of monitoring through a SIEM system (Security Information & Event Management System) to increase the bank’s information security and meet the regulatory requirements of the ECB and BaFin.

Our approach: Establish an effective project organization with the required technical functions and cyber security expertise, taking into account the bank’s strategic partnerships and the requirements of an overarching program.

Result: The project objectives were achieved precisely and on time within the set milestones and the planned budget. Monitoring by the SIEM system was extended in accordance with the documented threat analysis. The project results were documented and reviewed in accordance with the planned internal and external acceptance processes.

Tender and vendor selection for a large-scale self-service network

The customer: A large German commercial bank

The goal: Large parts of the bank’s self-service network are to be outsourced in the future and provided and operated by an external service provider.

Our approach: We advised and supported the client in the complete selection process: in the creation of the requirements specification, the design and execution of the RFP, the vendor and bid evaluation, and in the critical negotiation rounds up to the selection of the final two vendors for the shortlist.

Result: The tender for one of the world’s largest outsourcing projects for self-service systems was successfully completed. The service elements, from hardware to software to operating services, were described according to the latest state of the art, compared in a structured manner and later successfully awarded. This tender created a reference for similar future projects.
